A friend of mine taught me how to make homemade sushi this weekend and it was so good that I had to share it with you. It’s also super easy to make! First we stopped by our local Korean/Japanese grocery store to pick up all the ingredients. We tried three different rolls: California, Philadelphia and our own tropical maki creation. California rolls: Crab, cucumber, avocado and tobiko (flying fish roe)
Philadelphia rolls: Cream cheese, smoked salmon, cucumber
Tropical maki: Pineapple, shrimp, cucumber + coconut shavings, sesame seeds & mint leaf garnish
